My setup is a little too anemic for mechs,IMO. I was deadset on using Magnus Stingers, but they're not grouping so hot. This season I'm using the Wasp Boss, 3 bladed version.

G5 Montec's hands down the best broadhead I've ever used, traded in my Muzzy MX-4s for the G5.

I switched from MONTECS to Strikers, last season. Only killed one animal so far. A 170lb Minnesota black bear, she didn't go far. Great blood trail.

Got an 8 pt buck last weekend with the NAP Spitfire. Didn't go all the way through and it was only a 25yd shot. Didn't even find a blood trail until I found the deer and back tracked to look for the arrow. Just ordered the Montec G5 and will be trying that ASAP.

i wanted to try mechanical broadheads so i bought a cheap set from Wal-mart. They were Eastman brand. I used the cutting point version this year with the three blade option. The doe i shot ran max 40 yards from where i shot her at to her final resting point. The broad head went through two ribs on one side, heart, one lung, and two ribs on the other side. I was very impressed with them. I went out and spent some mone on good mechnicals, I bought the Grim Reapers!
