Hoyt Rest
I have a 2006 Hoyt Trykon and Im having trouble with the fletching hitting the rest, it is the Hoyt Quiktune smart rest. This is the second one I have tried and it is doing the same thing, even set up to the fast position.I shoot the Easton ST Axis arrows 4" fletching. Wondering if anybody has had the same problem? Or anysuggestions.

RE: Hoyt Rest

RE: Hoyt Rest
1) Have you tried turnning your arrow 180 degress?
2)I t is my understanding that Hoyts have a lot of downward nock travel. Maybe try moving your nocking point up a little. 3) Try a diffrent rest? |
RE: Hoyt Rest
Set your arrow up so that the bottom of the arrow shaft is in the top 1/3 of the berger button and the nock point 1/8" above level. Every Hoyt I have owned with the cam and a half system has shot better when the nock point was set a little on the high side.
Fletching clearance issues should go away after that. If you are itching to change rests, may I recomend the Vapor Trail Limb Driver. I have one on my Trykon XL and it has been by far the easiest rest to tune and keep tuned short of a blade. |
