Best release
I am in the market for a new release and would like to know in your opinion, which is the best one out there between 60-80dollars? I have a tru-fire, but getting tired of it. Thanks for your input.

RE: Best release
I like the Short&Sweet myself partner. I like it for the ease of use. Since it does not have the traditional pincher type action. I believe its better for hunting, allowing you to get on the string with the least amount of effort and attention, directing those resources to whats going on around you.

RE: Best release
I also have the short and sweet which I do like to use, but on the touch of the trigger when the hook opens backwards it slaps the metal part of the release and makes a very noticeable click. I think that it is too loud to use for hunting IMO.

RE: Best release
I am trying out a Tru Ball Singer. Really like the teflon coating, which minimizes wear on loop and the spring loaded jaws are awesome.

RE: Best release
I bought a Scott Shark this year and I really like it.

RE: Best release
I use a Scott Wildcat,it has a thicker trigger with a slight forward tilt which makes it easier to shoot with gloves.

RE: Best release
I love my truball Tornado. Can't say enough about this release. Smooth, quiet, and I shoot well with it.

RE: Best release
My Son and I both shoot a Tru-Ball stinger. His has a cloth wrist strap and velcro closure and mine has a leather wrist strap and buckle closure. They are very smooth and quiet.

RE: Best release
i actually found (no joke) a truball copperhead in the ditch, all it needed was a new trigger (which truball replaced for free). and i love it! if i ever decided to get a different one i would get a "handheld" release- the ones triggered by your thumb - so it doesnt get in the way of trying to handle other things
