RE: Goldtip vs Beman
I shot beman black max's last two years, and ICS hunters for 5-7 years before that. I find gold tips do not meet thier straightness guarantee. Even the XT wobble something horrible. Neither did beman's, so I moved to Carbon Express's this year, and find them to be lacking also in spine consistency.
Next year, going with carbon tech whitetails. Cost alot more, but seems like quality arrows.

live,
Just some advice. Check the arrow charts very carefully. With the Gold Tips you may very well be on the upper edge of their spine rating. You might be better served with the 7595.
Same goes for the Beman. You might have to shoot a 340 spine.
Of course, if you choose the weaker spined shaft in either case, you might find that they are close enough that a turn off the limbs will make them work very well. Just be aware of this when tuning if your broadheads get squirrely.

I have some Beman ICS Hunter and some Goldtip XT 5575 arrows. I honestly think you can flip a coin between these 2 shafts. Both are good for the price. Not to make the decision more complex but I would recommend checking out the Carbon Express Maximas. I've been shooting them for almost a year now and they are a step up from the Beman and Goldtip.

One thing no matter what brand you end up with that you should do is trim from both ends of the shaft when cutting to length. I find most who get excessive wobble or multiple bad arrows in a new dozen only cut from one end. Since I have started doing that I get much better results.

That Beman slick finish is a beast to get fletchings to stick to. The first tiem you fletch on raw shafts, it isn't bad, but re-fletching them is a PAIN. Gold Tips are good arrows if you trim from both ends. I shot XT's and now I'm going to CX Maxima 250's.

I shot Gold Tip Pro Hunters 5575s.Never had any trouble with them. Changed over to Beman ICS Camo Hunters this year. Both arrows have been durable to me. Bemon's group better for me, and are a little heavier arrow with the same spline as 5575s.

Yea my dad switched from the Stingers to Bemans and his groups are alot better. I also like the rubber insert that the bemans have to help with broadhead flight. I think im going with the Beman ICS 400Hunters with 4in feathers two white and one maroon with wraps. They will look sharp.
