RE: RAGE broadheads
Do a search on them there is at least 20 threads on them. They are a awesome broadhead for sure. I would say the best mechanical broadheads out there IMO. I shoot the 2 blade. Most people shoot the 2 blade because rage recalled the 3 blade, bigger cutting diameter, they seem to be stronger than the 3 blade and ive heard they deploy better. If you want to blow some HUGE holes in your deer shoot Rage. No im not a spokes person for rage I just love their broadheads.

RE: RAGE broadheads
My wife and I took two black bears each last May with Rage Broadheads. The entry and exit holes were incredible. You won't be disappointed.

RE: RAGE broadheads
I just tested one today. Shot it thrughten layers ofone inch foam board. performed good but what i really liked is that it didnt openpremature.Im shoot a mathews Zmax with goldtip hunter xt arrows at297fps. I was worried that they would open early but they didnt. They didnt open up fully on impact though. Aboutone inch entry and the full two inch exit whole. But then againit was just foam board.

RE: RAGE broadheads
Im a muzzy man myself but I shot one of those Rage practice tips and I had to pick up a package to try out this year. They really fly like a field point!

RE: RAGE broadheads
The Rage may be an example of a head that killsvery well under field conditions, but doesn't rate quite as high in the tests involving plywood and steel drums.

RE: RAGE broadheads
Hey fellow bow hunters: I am a new member to the huntingnet and so far I've seen a lot of discussion about the rage broadheads. I bought a pack of three blade when they first hit the market. The first batch of three that I ordered from Field Logic I sent back because the blades were clearly overheated during sharpening from the factory and were dull at best. The folks over at Field Logic sent me a new set right away to replace them. In the first hunting season, I shot a doe with the first one and the entrance and exit hole was as good as they say but, I can also tell you that one of the three blades on that broadhead did not open. I found the arrow laying next to the doe and was dissapointed that all three blades did not deploy on a broadside shot. The deer still went down within site of my stand. I ordered four sets of them from Field Logic for use this season and luckily didn't get any of the recalled batches but again....when I recieved the four packages of three blade models, at least two broadheads from each three pack had broken O-rings. Now, fortunately for the consumer, they include extra O-rings with each pack. Make sure and check your rage broadheads once you nock the arrow because the blades do not stay locked behind the O-ring and vibrate loose fairly easily at times. With all of this said, I do believe that Rage is moving in the right direction and their quality control is improving so I will use them again this year. My hunting buddies liked what they saw and chose to purchase the 2 blade version since I introduced them to the Rage. Now at least four out of five guys in our group use the Rage and had excellent results last season. Rage has the right idea but needs better quality control at the factory. This is just my opinion. Let me know what you guys think.
Sincerely, 79 Bronco |

RE: RAGE broadheads
Yes sir Rankbull,
My old 79 is pretty rough around the edges but with the 351 mod. and the 38" super swampers, i don't have to worry muchabout getting in and out of the hunting woods. It's a mudder for sure! See ya, Good luck this coming season |
