Fletching torn, what do I do?
I have a set of Redhead Carbon Maxx 3000 arrows i bought a couple of yrs ago. They are supposed to be pretty good, so I thought i would try to salvage them. The fletching has been torn, cut and peeled off on a number of the arrows. I tried using super glue to put them back when the fletching is salvageable, but it doesn't last and the fletching pulls back off. Any advice on what I should do and if it is worth the expense and trouble, would be appreicated. Maybe i'd be better just buying new Carbon Express arrows.

RE: Fletching torn, what do I do?
I have a set of 12 x Easton XX75 alluminium arrows that the fletching has been torn or come off , so i have stripped off all fletching and am taking them to be refletched and wrapped . Not sure if its different with Carbon , but i'd clean'em up and get'em refletched .
Unless arrows are damaged , i can't see a problem . Let me know if i'm wrong . Dave |

NO-you are not wrong--as long as you guys shafts are in good shape-buy having them replaced-fletchings-you can try different vain styles and pick the colors YOU like. Its ALOT CHEAPER ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!;)

if you're shooting through a WB make sure you get some stiff short vanes like blazers, they tend to stay on better than other vanes when going through the WB

RE: Fletching torn, what do I do?
good point, yes, i have a WB. Are the short vanes becoming the most popular, best performing overall?

RE: Fletching torn, what do I do?
YES YES YES blazers are the way to go, and the local shop charges $20 per dozen to strip the fletchings, clean shafts, and reinstall new blazers of choice, I would with out a doubt have them refletched....Just look them over good for anything that might cause an issue or damage to either you or your bow...dont need a splintered shaft ending up inyour hand...

if your in archery for the long haul just invest in a fletching jig and learn to do it yourself. most shops take a couple days to re fletch and youll save alot of dough in the long run. i would go with blazers without a doubt. i switched last year and im using a whisker bizcut. they are much more durable.

RE: Fletching torn, what do I do?
As mentioned, I would look at buying yourself a fletcher and just refletching them yourself. The blazers work great with the WB!!
