Broadhead Use

Broadhead Use
I hunted my first bow season with a fixed wasp 100 grain 3 blade broadhead, then after season i sighted my bow in for my field tips just to shoot around. With bow season approaching i bought grim reaper razortip 100 grain broadheads which seem to shoot just as perfect as my field tips. I was wondering what all of your opinions are on the grim reaper broadheads, or the wasp broadheads, or just mechanical vs. fixed broadhead use

How much are you pulling? I would reccomend at least 60 lbs if you shoot a mechanical. I have never used them but ive heard they are a good broadheads. Just put it in the right spot and it will do its job.

Grim reaper razortip are a good broadhead. My brother used them last year. And shot a doe with them at twentyfive yards. She only ran about 70 yards. The only problemwith them like mostmechanical. Is small entry hole but it left a huge exit hole.

Rear openingblades will give you both huge entrance and exit holes
compared to an over the top expandable.

RE: Broadhead Use
I've Shot the Grim Reaper Razor tip and now the new razorcut, with the razor tip I shot a 55 lb bow that only shot 235 FPS and I achieved 3 out 4 shots as complete pass throughs. I would recommend them to anyone, but you always have your old schoolers who swear up and down that they'll deflect, but personally me and about 10 other friends have had no problems at all with deflections. With my new toy this year I'm most positive that all my shots should be full pass throughs.
