Lone Wolf Assassin
 

Has anyone gotten to try out the new Lone Wolf Assassin? I unfortunately hunt a lot of public land and need to go to extreme measures to get where I need to be. I'm thinking this thing will get me in a few crazy honey-holes that I just can't get to. I'm just not sure about the sling harnes setup in lieu of a seat. This thing definitely isn't for everyone, but I'm enough of a nut to use it effectively. I'm justhoping I can geta little insight. Thanks.

Never used that and don't think that I would. My legs would be dead after about an hour. It does not appear that you can climb with that stand. If you like to move around alot you should look at Lone Wolfs Alpha Hand Climber, It only weighs 14lbs. and is very portable.

Thanks, I've got a sit and climb as well as the assault hang on and 4 climbing sticks. The climbing sticks let you get up in forked trees like maples and oaks and stuff. Places you can't get with a climber. I was just considering adding this to the arsenal.

I wouldn't be able to use that very long. If you need something compact they do sell smaller hangons that are easier to carry and setup if you have to go deep into those honey holes. I would prefer these because you have the option of sitting down if your legs get tired.

With that you'd still need to tote in the climbing sticks by the looks of it. So I guess I have to ask"wouldtoteing the harness, platform and the sticks be more or less cumbersome than justyour climber"?? I'm not familiar with the climbing sticks and have always wondered how cumbersome they are in addition to carrying your bow.

3 sticks and the assasin would weigh at least 13.5 lbs.

I just bought the assault and tried it out. It's small, but it will do everthing I need it to do. At 8.5 lbs. It's only 1.5 more than the Assasin, but hey if ya want it then go for it. If I was 30 yrs younger I'd give it a try.

Hey Fechmupbud - I just ordered a Lone WolfAssassin. I'm like you, hunting public land andfinding little placeswith wacky trees that climbers don't work well on. I'll let you know how it is once it gets here and I get to try it out.
