Softer Shooter

Greetings:

I have a question for other shoulder sensitive shooters out there--what bows are out there for lighter shooters (50 lbs draw max) that have softer draws. I say 50 lb max as I'd rather have a 50 maxed out than having a 60 and dropping it down 10 lbs... I'd like to get my hands on a Hoyt Montega or the Reflex Caribou--but I have yet to find a store willing toput them on the shelfin any draw weight--far less the 40-50 lb draw that I am after. Anyone shot these bows or know of a place in the upperMidwestthat has them? I bought my last bow without a thorough testing and it got me here--looking for another one just 2 years later. Never again. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Martin makes both the Cheetah and the Leopard in lower draw weights. Nice thing about the Cheetah is that the draw lengths are available all the way up to 30" - most of the other reduced draw weight bows are designed for shorter draws.

I also have a Fred Bear Element 50/60 turned down to 43.7 lbs for my son (six turns out on the limb bolts). It shoots very nicely and groups well.

Look into CP Oneida bows. They look goofy but they are extremely smooth for the energy they generate.
