Default Smoothest Drawing Bow?

I have a 2004 Bowtech Liberty that is set at 65lbs.and draws like it's set at 55 lbs.(extremely smooth). I want to get a new bow and I want one that is as smooth as my Liberty. Any suggestions?

Mathews are known for the smooth draw but you will give up a bit of speed. (because of the less harsh back wall)

My 70lb pulls like a 50lb bow. It is fantastic. Especially when you have a bad back.

Best of luck!

there are many bows that draw smooth, but I think the Switchback XT draws the smoothest that is on the market today. I wouldn't worry about the speed issue, what you lose is a small fraction on what you gain

If you like you're bowtech but want something smooth I'd suggest shooting the Diamond, Black Ice. IMO I thought it was just as smooth as the switchback.

Some of the various Hoyt 38" bows are very smooth drawing - 38 Pro and 38 Ultra in this year's lineup.

That is somewhat of a relative question (like a lot on here).

I also thought the Switchback XT was very smooth, but I didn't completely love the draw cycle. I don't really remember it, but I do know I like my bows with a steep front load (just me) and I think the XT was more gradual (which is probably part of the reason it is "smooth").

One thing I've learned is that usually you get what you give with bows. They are energy storage devices. So if it is nice and easy to draw it may be storing less energy, and therefore less fps.

For me part of the solution to this was getting a 60# bow.
The Bowtechs have the smooth mod, but the speed mod is just fine with the weight I'm pulling.

Since you like the Liberty, one of the smooth mod Bowtechs might be to your liking.

The Diamond Black Ice is probably the smoothest drawing bow I've come across.
