Default Turbine Tips

I know there was a post awhile back about the new turbine tips asking if they were any good. I had bought some and tried them out at the first 3-D shoot of the year. Im shoot goldtip XT shafts with blazer vanes and they shot fine, but to see if they were actualy stabilizing the arrow I ripped all the vanes off one of my arrows after the shoot and took a few shots at the practice range with it. The arrow would travel approximately 18 or 19 yards with perfect arrow flight and then at the last second it would veer right. I did it a couple of times and results were the same. Personaly I thought that was pretty good for an unfletched arrow.

Default RE: Turbine Tips

did you also use the same arrow without the turbine tips to see if they would also fly well?

no, I didnt have any other tips with me at the time. To be honest I have never tried shooting a bare shaft at 20 yards before, so I have nothing else to compare it to. Ill have to try with a regular field tip also and see how it does.
