Default Muzzy Zero Effect?

I was thinking about getting a MZE, and I was wondering what everybody thinks about it? What are the good and bad things about it? Will it fit on a short bow? I have a Martin Altitude.

The Zero effect is an excellent drop away style rest. Your arrow can't fall off becuase of the "hook arm". It will work with most bows with an upper mounted cable guard. It is not nearly as complicated as it looks, and it makes tuning a snap. It's not perfect. It won't be as durabable as say a wisker bisquit, but it is still pretty durable. I have only had one problem, and that was the cable slide breaking. As far as I know though I am the only one this has happend to. All and all the Zero effect is in my opinion one of if not the best drop away style rest on the market.

Ditto what 5 shot said. I've got three of them and have never had a problem. Hard to beat for spot and stalk and you don't have to worry about your arrow falling of the rest.

Those guys are right on >>------>(x). The MZE is a rock solid and dependable hunting rest. Some guys that come into the bow shop shoot them for their 3-d set-up. I have been using one for about 2-3 years and I love it for hunting . Like they sadi it is not all that complicated. It is a very simple design once you understand it. I would recommend it if it is in your price range. They cost between $90.00 and $100.00 dollars. hope this helps.

or it could be the worst depending on your point of view....I would bet someone was a little ticked when that baby broke while hunting.

I have never shot one so I can't say jack about it except to me looks like too much junk to be hanging on a bow but to each their own.

I put off buying a MZE for a couple of years. I tried the trapdoor, trophy taker and the Nap drop aways. Then i finally broke down and bought a MZE. After using it for a year now I am very pleased with it. It is great for hunting and is the most acurate rest I have ever used.......

Hey moonge, I realize the Muzzy zero effect was not made by GKF and so it is a second rate rest in your eyes. I have hesitated to comment on your affliction of "if it aint made by GKF, it aint no good". I have been wondering if you work for GKF or get free stuff as it seems that you defend aganist every other product that is mentioned. I was speaking from MY personal experience with 15 years of trying to find a good rest. The muzzy has been a god send to my shooting and I have had 0 problems and have never herd of any problems. I think GKF is a great company and makes some great products but IN MY OPINION no one beats the Muzzy for absolute clearence and shotability. Lighten up and give someone else a chance, as a lot of companies make good product as well as GKF. Have a good day-Don

Hey Don I respect your point of view & I hope people respect mine. I use what I have faith in as should you. I just find the MZE isn't for me but I know a lot of people who love it & that is cool.

nothing is perfect on life, neither is any arrow rest. that is why we have such an awsome amount of rest to choose from.

I guess my biggest problem which I have not go over is certain people have in the past tended to bash those of us who like & use GKF. Some of those users are long gone now. I guess it kind of started a war of the words between the MZE & GKF people.

Actually I wish we could all share info without anyone dogging anyone else or any other product. If we could just all focus all that negative energy to the antihunting groups and work together then we might actually be onto something.

by the way I just use GKF, I have a good friend who is a dealer & he lets me play with all the neat toys. actually I have relly grown fond of a lot of their stuff.

Hey Moonge, I couldn't agree more. I would never put down any of GKF products as they are some of the best out there. They have the best prong rest avaliable and some other great products. I, like you, found the Mirage not to suit my needs as you did with the MZE. I will take a good look at the new GKF rest with an open mind and appricate and respect your input and opinion. I went about 6 months and 100.00 before I tried the MZE due to the fact I found the MZE a bit well ugly. Since buying it, I find it growing on me each day and she gets prettier with age . I got my new Bowtech Mighty Mite today and will order a MZE ASAP.I NEVER thought I would buy a 31 inch bow as I have avoided them like the plague, but now own one. Sometimes you have to watch what you say, as I have to eat my words now Don
