Hoyt Vulcan
 

I shot the Vulcan today. All I can say is that I have to have one. The draw on this bow felt so smooth. When drawing the bow you just cannot feel the peak or feel the build up to it. Its so much smoother than my Ultra Tech. Are the other bow makers making their bows this fast and smooth as well?

I am currently looking for my next bow. Yesterday i shot both the vectrix and vulcan. The vulcan blew me away with its smooth draw and solid back wall. I was a little weary of its short brace height but after 20 or so arrows it was not a problem. I really believe hoyt has got something here and the price is right.

I liked the vectrix a lotbut i did not have the wow factor i did shooting the vulcan but nothing on the vectrix dissapointed either.All thatsaid i will wait and shoot the ross cardiac before i make any choices if i go with a hoyt it will be the vulcan.

bbran73, did you find that the draw cycle was smoother and easier than the Trykon? Is it my imagination or is does the Vulcan feel really easy to draw for its acutal draw weight? I shot it at 53 lbs but it felt like much less than 50.

D i only shot the vectrix and vulcan but yes the draw on the vulcan was very smooth the one i shot was about 63lbs and it pulled quite nice. To me it pulled a little smoother than the vectrix.

I have the Trykon and I have shot the Vectrix and Vulcan. The Vulcan is SWEET. I shot the Bowtec Guardian as well and it is also very nice. I just can't get past the moving parts of the riser yet. I will wait and see how it does in the field for everyone that got one this year. Then next year it is to the shops to see what works best for me.

Oh and both the Vectrix and Vulcan are much smoother then the Trykon. If I had to pick between the two right now I would go with the Vulcan. I have not shot the Vectrix XL or the 38 Pro yet.

I shot the Vulcan and was very, very impressed with it. Having that short 6" brace I expected some arm slap but it didn't happen. Put it this way, when I was shopping last year I started the exercise wanting to buy a Trykon because I truly feel that Hoyt make a darn good product but I just couldn't warm up to the draw and valley of the Trykon. Matter of fact I hated it. I would have bought the Vulcan on the spot if it was around last year.

I shot the new drenalin,vextrix ,vulcan and trykon and ordered me a new vulcan. much smoother then trykon and quiet for a fast bow. however it has been a month and a half and I still don't have my bow. they claim they have no 29.5 inch cams to finish it. starting to get a little grumpy about this. It is a nice feeling bow if I could get one.

Terry, I agree with you, I disliked the draw cycle of the Trykon. It loaded up really fast. I won't even look at the Bow Tec with all the moving parts. In fact I like the Vulcan so much I called and ordered one from Gagnons this morning!:)

Nice to hear from you buddy! The range isn't open yet so I haven't started shooting yet but will asap. If you ordered a Vulcan you got an amazing bow! I was totally impressed with it and the sales guy in Gagnon's was great to talk to, really knew his stuff. I'm a Bowtech guy but I tell ya that Vulcan could change that. Let me know how you make out with it, but I guess you had to order it in right?

Hey Terry, apparently Hoyt sold a major number of projected bows, which means they've sold more than they can produce at this time. Sadly, I have to freaking wait at least 6 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Argggggggggg:( I can't wait!
