champion bows

Maybe some of you can help. I bought a Champion Hurricane bow a few years back. They went out of business. What happened to them? At the time they seemed like a up and coming company. I really like thebowguess the lifetime warranty doesn't mean squat now.

They got nailed for a patent infringement, and couldn't afford to pay up. Had to sell out.....That's the story we got anyway.

I own a Champion Stratus, by far one the best bows I've ever owned. I learned from the dealer I had purchased the bow from that Champion was caught using another Co's limb patent design. They lost in court, and it put them out of business. It really is too bad, at the time I shot their bows side by side to Mathews, and Hoyt. I loved the Champion, and hoped being a newer company they would take off, and not fold like so many other previous newer archery companies have. I still use the bow, and least for as long as I can!

After they lost in court ,they were sold out to "Parker" I believe, and Parker said they would honour all warranty issue's with the Champion bow .

Everything in the above post's are right on the mark. I too own a Champion Bow {Stinger} and love it. Parker bought them out and you can get parts and what not from them. Best bow I ever had, Thats was bad news when I heard it[&o]

Thanks for the info guys. I has no idea Parker bought them out. Thats great Parker is a very respectable bow company. I always thought champion would come back under a new name. Guess I was wrong but I'm glad Parker will take care of use. Thanks again Matters

I just emailed Parker and they claim they didn't buy champion. And they can't help out with the warranty

Not to spread more rumors, but I thought it was Darton patent they infringed on and that Darton may have acquired some parts. Nonetheless, I also heard that if you went to bowzone.ca that you might be able to find parts there from old dealer(s). I heard a guy in Medicine Hat, Canada by the name of Wendell Mills got all the old parts and his number was (403)545-2121. Don't look for any warranty assistance anywhere; nobody bought them out to continue the company.
