Mathews Switchback ????
Ive been looking at new bows for a while and have shot a few nice Bowtechs and Diamonds .
Never gave a used bow much thought but ,
afreind of mine has a Mathews Switchbak that hes selling .Asking $600.
I havent shot it yet but its already set to my draw length has new string and cables , custom torgueless grip, Mathews spiderweb detachable quiver , Toxonics K9HD 5 pin sight (no light inc. ),Xring stablizer , Mathews aluminum harmonic dampening riser weights, and 6 Beman ICS 400 carbon arrows .
Rest not included .
Says its 2 years old ?
How can I tell the year ?
Claims bow was $585.00 new .
I looked it over at work in a hurry but have not shot it yet ,
I noticed a little fraying on the string near the cam .Very little .
What do you think ?
Is it worth getting or should I stick to a new bow .???
Thanks for any help ..

RE: Mathews Switchback ????
I just sold my switchback for 575.00.
extream site
WB rest
6beman 400 clasics.
I payed 600 just for the bow last yr.(got a good deal on it)
Also just sold my LX for 525.00 with the same setup.payed 600 for that 2 yrs ago.
Due to old neck surgury I wont be able to shoot for a while.Cant draw the bows without bad pain, even tryed turning the poundage all the way down.
The only bows I kept were my trad bows and my old browning storm.

Not a bad price w/ all it's got at all...! The strings do seem to fray a bit easy where it rolls over the cam on the Switchback & XT
Great bow...Good price.

I bought one new back in the fall of 2005 and paid $675.00 just for the bow!! Then add up for the site, arrows, rest, etc........it ran me a little over $1,000.00 for everything. Offer him $550.00 and if he takes it, jump on it!! I feel that the Switchback is still the one to beat!! The XT and XL models are only shorter and longer versions of the original Switchback!!! Go for it!!

I HAVE A SWITCHBACK AND LOVE IT. iT'S GOT A SMOOTH DRAW CYCLE AND U SHOULD BE ABLE TO DRAW A FEW EXTRA POUNDS BECAUSE OF THAT. VERY QUIET AND NO HAND SHOCK.$600 SET UP IS NOT TOO BAD IF IT'S AN '06.
I'D BUY IT.

That's what I said 2 months ago. I wanted the new Guardian though.
So...I put the '05 Switchback on ebay and got $525! I only paid $550 for it new.
(love my Guardian)
