Any input on bear element

Considering looking into a bear element have a dealer who handles matthews, Hoyt, Ross, and Bear. I just cant justify the huge disparity in price. He has elements for $269. I have shot the xt and the trykon again liked both just awful pricey didnt care for Ross Does any body shoot the element and if so what did you determine were its pros and cons! Thanks for any helpful input. I shoot a hoyt magna tech thats about 7 yrs old at the present time after shooting some of the newer bows it seems just that old

RE: Any input on bear element

I bought my Element almost as soon as they went on sale. Took a doe at 35 yards, and several armadillos between 5 and 40 yards. I can't compare it to the pricier bows, because this is the first bow that I've ever owned. I hunted with my dad's bow as a kid, before I knew about things like draw length, etc. However, I can say that I have been nothing but pleased with my Element. Very smooth and quiet. Right now it's set at 60#, and I don't even notice the weight. Good bow!!

I bought a package deal Element through Cabelas this year. I shot several other top end bows and felt the Element was just as good as any of them, not to mention several hundred dollars cheaper. It is a great bow and I would have to say the best value on the market. It is about time that Bear started getting back into the ball game. My brother bought a new fully outfitted Hoyt this year for $900 and felt that he made a mistake after shooting my Element.I will upgrade the accesories though this year.

You can't go wrong with any of the Bear line of bows. I own the "Truth" and love it.

RE: Any input on bear element

I just bought a Mission made by matthews kind a like diamond is to bowtech. The best $339 I ever spent. I shot the truth ,and Element I shot the trykon and Matthews switchback xt. Don't get me wrong both the trykon and matthews are awesome but on a tighter budget I'd givemission a try very smooth draw similar to switchback same string silencer I was shooting thru chrono at 58 lbs with gold tip 50/75 and getting duplicate readings of 270 all 3 shots surprised the hell out of me. Not much handshock, quiet and so far very forgiving I'm no robbinhood but my shooting has come a long way. Shoot it what have you got to lose
