CHEAP target

Some years ago,I started making my own arrow targets from old pillows and old clothing that has ALL metal removed(this includes zippers, buttons, snaps) stuffed inside a 100 lb feedsack sewed shut shut. They work great with field points only, allowing for ture 2 finger arrow removal.Simply use a permanent marker for making aiming "dots". This way,a target only costs .75 cents.

That's exactly what I do and it works excellent. I stuff plastic bags and old feed sacks and anything else in a feed sack. It is as good as any store bought field point target.

I've been shooting at the same "rag bag" target for the last 15 years. I've replaced the outside feed bag about twice a year. The more you shoot at them, the rags inside get choppedup finer, andthe better they work.

Exactly, the only thing that needs replacing is the outside bag. The stuffing gets better with time.

Yep ive done this also. After the sack gets wore out simply stuff it in another one. Works great and the easiest arrow removal ever. I live on a farm so theyres always rolls of hay too. Thats what i usually shoot at. Works great when your goofin off trying shots at 80 to 100 yards. Less chance of losing an arrow...lol.

I've got the burlap sack stuffed with everything and anything for a cheap field point target. Wondering if anyone has any ideas for a "homemade" broadhead target? I was thinking about something using foam rubber. Fishin' for suggestions here.
Thanks

RE: CHEAP target

i heard of a guy stacking layers of foam and putting boards on the top and bottom. he then used a ratchet to tighten it down so its a knock off block. he said he likes it but it could mess up your arrows possibly so im sticking with burlap field point targets.
