comments on Bushnell 450 rangefinder??
I really want to try to use a rangefinder soon and am pretty strapped financially . I notice the Bushnell 450 is one of the cheapest out there. Does anyone out there use one?? What do you all think? I've had good sucess with affordable products. Thanks to tru ball , copper john and other companies that still put out great products at an affordable price:D

RE: comments on Bushnell 450 rangefinder??
I don't know about this model, but the one I have has a problem. The buttons, were they are, and how easy it is to push them, get pushed easily in a pack or on your person. Consequently you'll find the thing dead.Knowing this helps a great deal. Used it all season with out a problem except that it's settings would change. The button must have been pushed. Does a good job. This one doesn't go under 25yrds., but who cares about that. JFYI, the yardage reading is not the same from a tree. I check from the ground and then in a tree to know the difference. The difference is as much as 5 yrds.

RE: comments on Bushnell 450 rangefinder??
I have one. Can't vouch for them all, but mine rarely will range over 100 yards. Even then, it has to be something like a sign or building. Ranging in the woods from a stand, with trees, the ground or other normal forest objects, best I can get out of it consistantly is around 30 yards. Inside 30, it works ok. So, for bow hunting, I guess it is ok. But if you want one that consistantly works past 50 yards, save your money and buy a better unit.
