switchback xt trade up to drenalin
need some imput from you guy's and gal's, If you had a switchback xt would you trade up to the drenalin, not sure what to do, any pro's and con's ? you can think of. The mathews dealer will gave me $550.00 for my bare bow and keep the sight, rest, stabilizer, peep,to put on the drenalin, and I would have to pay, $250.00 including tax, 250.00 out the door, and set-up the drenalin for me free of charge.

RE: switchback xt trade up to drenalin
I disagree with ikillsdeerthe hoyt has nuthin on the mathews switchback or drenalin when it comes to how smooth it shoots. I have shot both bows and am very impressed with both and am purchasing the drenalin this year. JMO

RE: switchback xt trade up to drenalin
From what I have read...it isn't worth the trade up to get the drenalin if you have a SB. The price isn't justified for the small speed increase and the hand shock is suppose to be more than the SB.

RE: switchback xt trade up to drenalin
I had a switchback xt on order and blew out my shoulder mountain biking. I was given the option to go with the Drenalin and after shooting it I went for it. Very smooth and light. but bows are like trucks, everyone has their favorites.

RE: switchback xt trade up to drenalin
I shot both and i like the xt much better, but its your money. You got to get what will make you happy.

RE: switchback xt trade up to drenalin
IMHO I would say stick with your Switchback XT. I have shot both and believe you gain little if anything with the Drenalin except a lighter bow. But I still suggest you shoot the Drenalin and decide for yourself.

RE: switchback xt trade up to drenalin
I would shoot the Drenlin and see if you like it better or not... I personally don't think it is much better than the xt, if at all.

RE: switchback xt trade up to drenalin
I bought the Switchback back in sept of 2005, and I love this bow.
I'llkeep this one several more years before getting into the "upgrade" mode. Mathew's by then will have a new design out altogether. |
RE: switchback xt trade up to drenalin
I have the switchback XT and love it. I really can't see where you are going to get 250.00 worth better by trading up. If it ain't broke-don't fix it.

RE: switchback xt trade up to drenalin
I bought drenalin but i upgraded from a Ultra Max so to anwser your question is iwould just go shoot the Drenalin. The XT is an awesome bow aswell. I love them both.

RE: switchback xt trade up to drenalin
well I have an xt and held it in one hand and the drenalin in the other. the drenalin is not technically a whole lot lighter but it really felt a lot lighter in my hands. after checking there web site I found out it weaghs 3.85 lbs and the xt 4.15 lbs. my bow had a wisker buscit a tr sight and a stabilizer the drenalin had just the buskit on it. in the trade I think you are getting a longer ATA bow (drenalin is 33 ATA), lighter bow, and about 5 fps more speed.
If I did not have a xt or good modern bow I would be hard pressed to find a good reason to pick one over the other so I would probably end up with which ever i could get a better deal on. thast my 2 cents |
