The ones I use and prefer aren't even made anymore. Years ago ( like 15 or more probably) Bass Pro shops you to sell the Amacker Mag Lock 250. These things were the greatest. They were the first one that I remember that had the T-bar that you screwed in the tree then hung the stand on the T bar. As far as putting up a hang on stand, it made life alot easier. Anyhow, they were about $60.00 at the time. I had 5 of them at the time and called to order another one. The lady at Bass Pro told me that they were discontinuing them and what they had in stock was all they would get. She said that they were $25.00 and if you bought 3 you got one free. I asked how many they had and she said 8. I took them all. paid half price for 6 and 2 free. I still have all 13 of them, and my buddy has 6 or 7. We still use them to this day. Although I prefer Ladder Stands now, I still will hang around 6 a year in spots that won't accept ladder stands.

LONE WOLF!!!!

save your money and buy Lone Wolf. I was skeptical before this season and bought an Alpha Hang On along with the climbing sticks. I now have 2 because I liked them so much.

If you don't want to spend that much, the Loggy Bayou Monarch is a very comfortable stand. It is not as easily put up but if you aren't looking for mobility it is a great stand. Just make sure you cover the seat pad as it would hold water.

The Lone Wolf seat is removable so you can take it off if there is rain/snow in the forecast.
