Default Ameristep "The Rock" treestand...

I saw one today at Gander Mt. and the platform is Freakin' Huge!!!
$149.99, I am going back on friday to pick one up. I was just wondering if anyone has used this.

That treestand looks awesome! It's fairly light too. I like the fact that there are no cables to trip over on the platform.

Ameristep also makes a smaller version of the same stand called "The Edge".

Interesting concept... but I guess since you've basically got to buy the Rapid Seat as well (There's no way I'm going to stand my whole time), you've got to figure that price in as well -- or at least I would. How much does the seat cost?

Bass Pro Shops has them on their website for $149.99 for both the seat and the platform.

Wow, thats a wide platform. The system looks similiar in design to Summits Trophy treestand system.

I have to admit that it looks pretty impressive. This is the first time I have seen it. If anyone does use it then how sturdy is it? I always thought one of the benefits to the previous design was how solida one piece design could be.
