cursed with a 32" draw, bought a pse dakota now have issues!!

I was curious if anyone else out there might have the same problem I do. I have a 32" draw and I am limited to few bows out there. I bought a PSE dakota which offers up to a 32" draw but heres the problem PSE only offers 3 modules for the cams for length adjustment but along with length adjustment it also messes with the bows peak draw weight. By using the correct modules to get my 32 inch draw it also has 3 positions for the module to get the desired poundage range. now to get my desired 70 lbs peak poundage the draw length on the bow is now 32 1/2" a half inch doesnt seem like much but I use a string loop. In other words the draw length feels too long now.

what can I do? will putting a few extra twists in the string knock off that 1/2" extra length? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

ive thought of that and Im seriously considering it just I really like using the loop so im really looking for any other suggestions since Im not real sure how much length I can actually take up by adding twists to the string.

Personnally I think your better off keeping a precise draw length, than worrying about obtaining peak poundage. Accuracy is far more important. I wouldn't sweat the few added lb's you'll gain, by messing with your draw, and anchor point!

I'd twist the string up to get the proper draw length and keep the loop. Start with about 15 twists and see what that does for you. If it's a single cam you may need to twist the cable up a few twists as well to keep the cam in sync which may up your poundage a little which will require you to back off the limb bolts. Cause and effect; one of those laws of nature that you can't avoid...

I could be on the wrong track here. but if you go to the 30 1/2 mod add the loop & put twist in the cable not the string to get your peak weight it should be perfect.

I do not know how to help your current problem but I too am cursed with a 32" draw. I shoot a trykon xl in 32" + loop and its perfect for me lengthwise but horrible draw cycle.

I wish we had a 32" or better forum or support group. I find its much harder to tune longer draw bows and the selection choices suck.

I called elite and asked if they could frankenstien a 32" one for me. They told me maybe next year. :(

have u looked at the switchback LD? its made specifically for long draw shooters and have a 9" brace height. maybe you should go shoot one of those and see how you like it.
