ladder stand

Has anyone bought the Comfort Zone 15 ft. SIDE X SIDE by Primal Vantage Company Inc?????? I bought this so that I could get my grand daughter more interested in being off the ground. Does anyone have any ideas of getting this heavy monster up against the tree without using the suggested 3 weight lifters? It sure is solid, but holy smokes it's heavy.

RE: ladder stand

When I taught my wife and my boy how to bowhuntI used a single ladder stand and then hung a lightweight hangon in the same tree a little higher and next to their seat. That way you can be with them but not in their way, you don't stick out like a 2 person ladder does, and you don't have the weight. I would return the 2 person and go this route.

I hope the tree you has a stout limb.Throw a rope over limb tie one end to top of ladder stand and pull it up. If its still too heavy hook a come along to other end of rope tie to another tree and crank it up. Thats what i have to do. You can get a fair cable type fer about $25 that will do the job. Get one that has 10 to 20 ft. of cable to work with.

yeah those things weight a ton. The best thing to do is put a pulley above the stand and pull it up against the tree and then i have someone with a long 2x4, push underneath the platform as you raise it. It is impossibe to do it on your own. I put mine up and that is where it is gonna stay... i aint moving it again
