I'm not sure about the peroxide, but I think wal-mart has distilled water in gallon size milk jugs just look around. It is water that barely has any impurities in it.

I don't have first hand experience but I did see a thread in the bowhunting forumregarding the recipe.I think I recallsomeonesaying that there is a certain peroxide to useversus another. It also told were it cound be purchased, I'm thinking they mentioned a pool supply store. Try a search in that forum.

I always thought that peroxide would bleach hair?
It did on my dog's hair before...she was a black dog with a some red in it after the peroxide. We were cleaning a wound.

But as for hunting...well I have very little hair, so no worry's here, plus it doesn't effect the cloths either. The bottom line is that the solution works and it is cheap to make.

Distilled water is more pure than mineral water for sure. You canbuy it at Wal-mart as was mentioned, plus you can buy the baking soda and the peroxide there as well. Oh and get a 1 quart(litre) spay bottle as well. You can make wipes as well using this solution.

Just put paper towels in aairtight tupperware container filled with this solution, after the paper towels are all wet, then drain the remaining solution. Well except for maybe a bit of solution.

Oh I wanted to mention a few more scent cover (not killer, but cover)solutions:
1)-camp fire smoke....most animals know the smell of smoke.
2)-Some I heard about rub dirt from the area they hunt in on thier clothes.
3)-Others including myself rub pine needles on our clothes. Break a small pine branch off of a tree and rub it on your pants and coat.
4)-I met a guy up here who uses deer droppings as a scent cover....well me too, if I want to be honest LoL. Rubbed it on my boots to cover my scent as I walk deer trails
