Chippewa wedge-lock
 

Hey guys. I'm considering getting a new treestand, and one of the top companies I'm looking at is Chippewa wedge-lock. I already have a lone wolf hang-on stand a really like it, but I want to see if Chippewa lives up to it's advertising. Is this a really good stand? Is it better than Lone Wolf? I don't have anything against Lone Wolf, just want to try a new stand.

I have them both and for me there is no comparison. I like the Chippewa much better. I'm a big guy and the Chippewa fits me much better and is easier to set up. I have the Brutus maximas (with a second on its way). The price is high but I think it's wotrth it. I have been bowhunting for close to 40 years and it is the best hang on stand I have used.

By the way, I recently was given a gift card at a local pro shop. I used it to order a Lone Wolf Hang on for my Son as a extra. I cancelled the order last week after waiting over 6 weeks for the stand to arrive. I heard they sold the company.

Chippewa makes some awesome stands. They are strong, quiet, and the best part is they are easy to set up. Since i am a smaller guy i bought the chippewa chief which only weighs 9 1/2 pounds. Along with that i bought several extra chain straps which i leave on different trees all year round. This way idon't have to buy several tree stands to fit my hunting needs. One drawback might be that the seat isn't as comfortable as i would have like it, but other then that it is money well spent.

My back up stand for longer,all day comfort is the Millenium. Talk about lightweight and comfortable. I use the Lone Wolf for 2-3 hr hunts and this baby for an all dayer. VERY comfortable, lightweight, and quiet.I hate chains so I replaced mine with a camo ratchet strap. Mine was bought at the IA deer classic two and a half years ago and came with this camo padded seat. SWEET!!!! This and the Lone Wolf are my two stands and my other 15 just stay in my barn loft.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I'm going to order one. Their video makes it look pretty impressive.;)
