Anybody use G5 Tekan II Broadheads?

I have taken one whitetail with these and they work well. I took the shot on the ground and the arrow went through the deer. Still have not found the arrow.
Only problem I have is putting the arrow in my quiver deployes the blades.

Shot my buck in my Avatar with one worked great!......Then my next deer shot a doe at 7 yards through the middle of the hart and it didn't open up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Left a hole like I shot it with a 22. Threw them away and am now using fixed head Stingers, fly like my field tips.

I was afraid of that. I was just testing them out and I couldnt get one to open too. I am going to look into this alittle more.

I shot one this past weekend at 33 yards. didn't open up! I felt lucky to harvest the deer.
I have also shot the rage broadhead. Devastating entry and exit wound.

I shot a buck at 40 yards on Oct. 29 and this head performed perfectly. The head left great entry and exit holes.

those heads are horrible and have had way to many failures(not opening). go with the rockets or the new snyper 3 blade. if u really want a great
broadhead that will never fail...go with 90gr muzzy. i have the snypers and they are great

So far so good. I have taken three does with the tekan's. Two pass throughs and one was hanging out of the briskit. Only about three inches of arrow still in deer.
The one's that you guys had that did'nt open were there out of the box or did you reset the blades?

Shot a doe with a Tekan II opening day in New York. She ran about 40 yards and piled up . The broadhead had opened up . Someone was trying to tell me that they are illegal . ????????????
Excuse the messy garage , but I don't throw anything away !

I bought some and was less than impressed.

I have been using Muzzy 100 grain 4 blades for three years now and when I got a new bow was having problems getting it to shoot them consistantly. Bought the Tekan IIs to see if they would shoot better. Well, they did not shoot nearly as well as the Muzzy's, especially after I finally got the bow tuned. Now that it is tuned, it shoots the Muzzys thesame as field points, but the Tekans tend to wander around a bit, don't group nearly as well as field points or the Muzzys. The only good think I can say about them is that the blades were nice and sharp out of the package.

As far as performance on a deer, I really have not (and will not) tried them on a deer. I did carry one of the heads with me to a stand one afternoon, thinking I might swap heads out if a rabbit or squirrel gave me a chance. Only thing that came out was an armadillo. The arrow was a complete passthrough, one blade deployed and bent, the other blade never came out. I am not impressed.
