Default Older Fred Bear Code

I have read a little about the newer Fred Bear Code bows. they seem to be pretty solid bows. My local bow dealer has a new but left over Code bow. Its a year or 2 old but still looks good. Whats your thoughts on this bow? He's got it marked down to $250 for the bare bow since he's got so much new stock. Would this be a decent bow to get into hunting? Thanks in advance or your replies. By the way, this is my first post and i new to these forums!

Default RE: Older Fred Bear Code

It would depend on a couple of things. Does the bow fit you and meet your needs? Is the draw length and weight right for you? Is the bow a year old or two years old? It does make a difference. What is the IBO speed rating on it? The new Fred Bear Elements are rated at 302 fps. A solo cam , rated for 75 % let off , and a 32 " ATA length. It is 300.00 , for a this years new bow. How does that compare to the code you have found? Look around a bit, and see what YOU think. There have been a few advancements over the last couple of years. Also , is it a bare bow , or does it come with anything?

Get the answers to these questions, and then see what your gut feeling tells you.....

Hope I was some help.
