Rivers West Clothing
Was wondering if any one has any input on Rivers West jackets & pants.

RE: Rivers West Clothing
I bought a RW Backcountry jacket this summer and used it every day for a Quebec caribou bowhunt. Couldn't be happier. Never got wet and it rained or snowed everyday. They are a warm rainjacket so if you are planning on using it in temps over 50 degrees it might be too much. I actually use it for all my bowhunting now as it is very quiet and comfortable even when not raining out.

There's a couple thread in the past if you do a search.
I have one and ditto what Hitch said. Let me just warn you that if you do a lot of walking, you could get wet inside because it is not breathable. Not too wet and you can't feel it, but when you take it off you need to let it air dry. All in all, I like mine because it rains a lot in the NW and I only do treestand. |

If you hike in it at all, it's just as bad as rubber raingear, and just as good also. You'll never get wet in it except for perspiration, which can be excessive. I went with the LAW weight for all seasons and I just layer under it or strap it to my pack as need be. It's rugged, waterproof and fairly quiet for raingear. I haven't got a single regret with mine; except that the LAW doesn't come in Max4...
Check out the Mad Dog Gear stuff as well. I've been VERY impressed with how quiet and durable their Dead Silent Plus line has been. |
