Okay I know that I want to move to a drop away. I was sold on the Muzzy but I am afraid of it malfunctioning when the slide gets wet or icy (I hunt in Colorado - lots of spot and stalk and quick weather changes).

So, here is my question I have heard three rests recommended more than all the others - NAP Smartrest, the Trophy Taker Pronghorn and the QAD Ultra rest (this one probably interests me most because of the containment - which would be helpful in a stalk situation - but it has not come as highly recommended). I am at a loss and do not know which way to turn - any advice would be appreciated.

I have the qad, as well as about 10 of my hunting friends and we all love it. i have my on a switchback xt and it would have to be the best rest out at the moment. (imo) i brought it for the total contaniment feature as well as the full lock even on let down..

I've used the NAP Smart Rest and the Muzzy. The Muzzy is currently on my bow. Ease of setup and tune, NAP hands down. This thing has micro adjust on everything. Muzzy will be the most consistent in the long run due to being driven by the mechanical arm instead of strings and springs & such. I don't really understand your hesitation with the Muzzy because of the cable slide. If you have issues with your cable slide then your going to have problems regardless if your using the Muzzy or not.

QAD Ultra Rest is by far the best rest I have ever used. I had the NAP on my hoyt and it was a good rest, but I purchased a new Tribute this summer and went with the QAD and it is hands down an better rest. The full containment is the greatest feature.

I have the Trophy Taker Pronghorn on my Hoyt Trykon and it slaps the riser, and as far as I can tell there isn't any adjustments to fix it....
