Bowtech Liberty.. delaminated limb

My dad bought a used Bowtech Liberty 2005 model for me touse. I shot3 tourniments with it, thendad put a new string loop on it. Iwent outside to set my bow up forhunting season, I drew my bow back and pulled to set my string loop tightwhen the limb delaminated.
My cousin knew a guy who replaced 6 sets of limbs on a liberty in one year. I DO NOT LIKE BOWTECH LIBERTY. I like bowtech,I just do not like the liberty. I'm looking to get a constitution. Anybody had good luck with one? Thanks

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by delaminated. Do you mean the limb splintered? Regardless I know BowTech will take care of it for you. Unfortunately these things canhappen regardless of what make/model bow you shoot.

Since it is a used bowI wonder if you can contacxt barnsdale and buy a set of their limbs for it?

If so i am wanting to do this for one of my bows next year.

Sorry about the bad luck.

Answered my own question- http://www.barnsdalearchery.com/CUSTOMWORK.html

$150.00.

Hmmm. Cheaper than a new bow, I wonder ifI could get a set in 62#?

I'll be finding out- NEXT YEAR[8D].

We had a set of 70 pound limbs on the way even before the limb delaminated.

I wonder if lettingdown a pair of seventies to mid sixties would make them last longer since they wouldn't be so loaded upor bent over?

My experience with the liberty has been the opposite as i've had great luck with mine. I have an 04 Liberty and i've shot the heck out it every since i bought it with zero problems.Awesome bow IMO.

Just a thought but since you bought it used do you know how well the previous owner treated it or if it was dry fired previous to the sell?

We checked the bow thoroughly and found no defects. We contacted bowtech and the limbs we ordered bowtech is going replace them for free.Once I get the limbs on the bow I am going to sell it and buy a allegiance heard a lot of good of things about that bow.
