Rangefinders??

I am sure that this has probably been asked before but " what is the best
laser rangefinder in the $200 to $300 price range?"

Through a series of unfortunate events for some people I know, I will be coming into possession of a Bushnell. They've upgraded and ended up with one too many. The function they wanted was one that would take into account being elevated. They went with Leupold's (i can't spell it and it's for sure my spell check won't have a clue). Has some fancy other stuff and goes down to 4 yards. The Bushnell only goes down to 25. A price in your range was mentioned. None of them have kids:DPoor Bast@&@$.

Barring a free one, I'd say look for one with these features.:D

Nikon 440. Around $239. I would'nt settle for less at this price. Note: 8x range magnification verse the usual 4X or 5X. This really make a different for all sort of situations, tree limbs, foilage and accurate beam/laser clicking on game. Range 10 to 440 yards.plus/minus 1/2.

I agree with FopSight on this one. I got a Nikon for Christmas last year and I am very happy with it. I don't think I need a "true ballistic" rangefinder. I check distances from the ground around my stands and no shot will be over 30 yds with my bow. So true ballistics is a feature I don't need and sure don't need to pay for.

I paid 190.00 for my Nikon 440. Best deal going. www.durhamoutdoorsupply.com. Very nice people. Great place to do business with. Low prices on all brands, and most have free shipping. Look there before you buy, I promise you will be glad you did.

I use the Bushnell Yardage Pro. But I generally only range targets within 50 yards so I can't comment on the accuracy of the rangefinder at longer distances. So far though it's been really accurate. My friend has the Nikon 440 and we did a test and both were reading the same distances to the target.
