Cabela's has the Leica 700 on sale ($100 discount) for $399 and includes a neoprene carry case. The leica is hard to beat, I really like the red led indicators - makes it very easy to lock in on target.

Another vote for the Bushnell 800. I've used it for deer in the midwest, antelope and elk in the West and bear in the upper East and love it. I dropped it on some concrete and it stopped working one day so I called Bushnell and they sent me a new one for $10. A fairly inexpensive unit that works very well and has good customer service. Tough to beat that.
