martin slayer

RE: martin slayer
Whatcha wanna know? After two years I just sold mine, but only because I get a new Martin every year.
First off, for 2006 there are two different models. The standard version has 14" limbs (better) and a 6 1/2" brace height. The other has 13" limbs and a 5 3/4" brace height (ouch). I had a 2004 with 14" limbs and Nitrous cams.
The bow is fairly heavy, but not outrageous. This weight actually makes it hold steradier. It's got some vibration, but not bad (they all vibrate). Pretty quiet (they all make noise). With the Nitrous cams the bow is a barn-burner.
I shoot right at IBO specs most of the time, a little heavier for hunting. Mine was set up at 27" draw (B Base cams) and 53# shooting a 267 gr arrow (IBO) it was shooting 299fps. My hunting setup was the same bow specs shooting a 330 gr arrow 284fps. Now, for short draw and light weight that is smoking.
The reason I sold it is because my brother was looking for a 3D bow and I have too many bows. Something had to go and I can judge distance fairly well, so don't really need all that speed. Besides I'll prbably get me a new one come November.
Any other questions?
