is this a good bow any problems with it

RE: Fred Bear Instinct Bow
i know this isn't a super in depth review, but take it for what it's worth.
i've owned the instinct for 4 months now. i have had zero problems with it and have probably put about 800 arrows through it. i know that isn't a whole lot but i shoot as much as i can. i have a tru-glo extreme sight, a quicktune 2000 rest, a carolina archery lore stabilizer, alpine 3 arrow quiver and alphashox instead of the regular limbsavers (big difference). i use a tru ball rackmaster release and gold tip xt hunter arrows. i find this bow to be quiet, fast and accurate. it's not as quiet as the bowtech or mathews, but what do you expect for half the price? i honestly love it. i love this bow more and more every time i shoot it. i use words like "pocket rocket"(haha) and "firecracker" to describe it. at 60 yards i can consistently shoot 5" groups, with the groups shrinking as the distance drop. at 60 yards the arrows have some drop, but not much. i've never chronographed it...i know, what a sin. all in all, i would rather be surprised by a $400 bow than just be satisfied with an $800 one. |
RE: Fred Bear Instinct Bow
I have the instinct also and have probably put around a thous arrows thru her. I have the kit with trophy ridge drop zone, trophy ridge sight, trophy ridge stabilizer and whiskers. i personally shot this bow , then shot the switchback, then the liberty, and the dealer was amazed. So amazed at how much more quiet the instinct was over the other two. He ordered 7 more over the phone from his rep while i was paying for mine. One for himself. The switchback and liberty were a little faster thru the crony but only about 15 feet per faster. I'll take more quiet over 15 feet per anyday. Just my 2 cents. i Love my instinct and i have shot the other two and for a savings of around 250.00 it can't be beat.

Any bow with the Fred Bear name is a good bow..

RE: Fred Bear Instinct Bow
I've heard good things about this bow as well, though I've never held one in my hands. For that much less money, more folks should be supporting Fred Bear and maybe some of those other bow makers will start feeling ashamed of their outrageous prices
