RE: Best Hunting Boot?
I've always had Rocky boots myself. There are lots of good boot companies though...

RE: Best Hunting Boot?
For a leather hunting boot for elk hunting, I really like Cabelas Outfitter series 9 inch model. Very durable.

RE: Best Hunting Boot?
I'll hunt in Danners all day, any weather. A great performing boot from the riverbottoms to the mountains.

RE: Best Hunting Boot?
When I hunt Alabama I'll remember that.:DJust kidding. What about them do you like better than others you've hunted in?
|
RE: Best Hunting Boot?
Danner's are my choice! Very comfortable all-day boots.

RE: Best Hunting Boot?
Danners are double reinforced at the stiching (unlike Rockys). This leads to a better water seal as well as incredible durability amongst the rocks.
I have worn through 3 pairs of Rockys in 4 seasons. I have had the same pair of Danner Boots for the last 5 seasons. I am definetly impressed and will continue buying Danners. |
RE: Best Hunting Boot?

RE: Best Hunting Boot?
I cant believe hadnt none of yall ever put on a pair of muck boots. They have rubber bottoms and neopreme uppers, light, comfortable, and best of all my feet have never got cold since I found out about these. They sell em at the Co-Op and alot of bowshops around here.

RE: Best Hunting Boot?
Count me in for Danners too. 3 rd elk season on the same pair. Not one blister and not one day of cold wet feet.

RE: Best Hunting Boot?
Put me down for rocky bearclaw II. These boots are awesome. I've stood in creeks fishing in these boots and they never leak. Had them for 2 years and have been very hard on them. They keep my feet warm in late season Va. hunting when the weather is 5*F. 1000gr thinsulate. The tread on these boots are awesome for climbing in mud and snow and wont pick up mud. Plus theyre very comfy.

RE: Best Hunting Boot?
Danner's for late season, uninsulated Lacrosse alpha burly's for early season.
|
RE: Best Hunting Boot?
Bought my first pair of Rocky's about 15 yrs. ago and have been buying them ever since. Solid, comfortable boot. And I always get the Cordura , not leather.

RE: Best Hunting Boot?
Once you wear Mucks you'll be hard pressed to wear any other. Here in New England I wear a pair in the spring, summer and fall to cut brush, mow or whatever, and I have a second pair for hunting. They are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn !

RE: Best Hunting Boot?
I think the Danner's are most likely the best made boot on the market today ,but I bought the Irish setter Buck tracker's with 1600 gr of thinsulate from BassPro,and for the money I couldn't go wrong.Definately warm in the cold and definately comfortable ,also cheaper than the Danner's
