Which broadhead is tougher, the Montec or the new Magnus Snuffer SS? Thanks?

Both are very tough! Montec is all one piece and the stinger has removable parts. I use the stinger it is very tough an the flight is like a feild tip. Can't go wrong with either. Better penetration with the stinger though.

They're both tough heads, but my Snuffer SS took a little more than my friends Montec in a little back yard torture testing. Its a toss up, but for what its worth, I'd take the Snuffer SS...

Both very tough, but the Snuffer will make a little more noise on the shot with the bigger blade openings.

What noise? Blade openings? I'v never heard any noise complaints about broad heads?

Both are tough and both are good, can't go wrong..
But I use the Montec cuz it's one piece and easy to sharpen.

Challynger and BGfisher,
I don't know how you guys feel about gutting deer out with broken blades left in the deer from a cheap head. Thats what I think he meant by tougher. Just a thought for ya.

tougher... i don't think that you are going to break or bend either one of these broadheads... not on a living creature anyway; more importantly the magnus is sharper.. damn thing is down right dangerous. be careful with these guys!!!

Pretty much both of them are tough. I shoot the Montec's and have been very happy with them. I also like the montec because it flies just like my field points. Both are a good selection.

Another thing to keep in mind, G5 supported the WHA...so Im out on anything G5...

Can't say I've ever heard that Magnus makes a weak head. And they are usually scary sharp right out of teh package. Can't say that about the Montecs that's for sure.
