Hoyt Pro Tech
Has anyone shot or own a Hoyt Protec? If so please let me know what you think. I currently shoot an Ultra Tech and am thinking about a Pro Tech next.

RE: Hoyt Pro Tech
I have an 05. My brother liked it so much (PSE man for decades) he bought an 06. I've had mine up to 292 fps. My brothers with the stock strings is 276. He also uses a tubed peep. The Protec has the softer cams. Very nice on the draw.

RE: Hoyt Pro Tech
correct me if im wrong nodog, doest the protech have a deflex riser vs the ultratech reflex riser?
now i dont even know what that means but ive been told the protech is easier to shoot than the ultratech! Ive shot an ultratech a little my cousin had one but traded it off. I think he kinda regrets it. |
RE: Hoyt Pro Tech
Nodog, what draw weight were both bows? Can you tell me what it feels like compared to the Ultra Tech?
|
RE: Hoyt Pro Tech
Yes the Protec has a deflex riser which means that the grip pivot point is actually ahead of the limb pivots which in theory makes it more forgiving. It also has an 8" Brace height and long ATA again all things that make it a easy shooter much like target models. I want one.

RE: Hoyt Pro Tech
Can't say how the 2 compare other than from what I've read about both. I've pulledan Ultrain a store but never shoot one. Hoyt explains the difference in them. I went looking for this bow because of the things Terry mentioned. It's a 60-70.
