carbon arrows

I recently have switched to carbon arrows and I am having a hard time getting them out of my Mckenzie target. Is there anything I can do to make my arrows pull easier?

bgd, you can get arrow lube from an archery shop. You can also rub Ivory soap on them before shooting. The soap works very well.

I've heard of guys using the ivory soap among other stuff but i've never used anything. I bought one of those arrow pullers i think it's called a Gorilla Grip and i have no trouble pulling my Goldtips from my 3d target.

I use the ivory bar soap and it works great, I think it is better than an arrow puller.

Drill an arrow diameter hole thru a bar of Ivory and than wrap in camo tape.... just like that you've got a "fancy" arrow lube tube.

I use a combination of both. Anybody who shoots carbons should have an arrow puller. I don't really like Ivory cause it turns to powder. I've found I like Oil of Olay better. And only lube the first three inches of the tip. Get that arrow puller. When the temperature drops during the winter you'll be glad you have it.

The lube dip tubes are handy, most of the 3-D guys i know use them alot. DONT use silicone though, it causes the stands of carbon fiber to separate and will weaken and ruin your arrows. Dont excately know why carbon pulls harder than aluminum, may have something to do with the carbon causing more friction and heat when it enters the foam and adhears to the foam material.

A little WD40 will work wonders.

Spray first third of arrow shaft for easy removal.
