Best spotting scope for under $ 500
 

Guys,

I've been looking for a spotting scope and would like the best quality scope for under $ 500. I've looked at Leuopold, but just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks.

My buddy and I did our own informal testing lat year. We purchased four different spotting scopes with the retailers understanding that we would be returning three of them the next day after tryuing them out. We took them out to our hunting ground and set them up and took turns switching from scope to scope comparing image clarity, ease of use & focusing, low light performance, etc. The brands were the Leupold Wind River, Leupold Sequoia, Nikon Sky & Earth and Bushnell Trophy. In the end we both agreed that the Nikon was the best of the group. The next day we returned the other three and I bought my own Nikon. We've both been very happy with them so far. Hope this helps.
