need help with my sights
well i was shooting my bow today and i noticed all of my shots were going to the left on my target..i took a look to see if my sights were lined up with my rest and they werent..they were to the left of my rest by a few inches which is a lot..the only problem is i would bring my sights in closer but it wont come in any closer because thats as far as it will come in..is there a special spacer that i can put in between the bow and the pin square so the pins will come in closer??..please let me know..thanks

not to start an argument Ite 622but if your missin left you should move your sight to the left (wen movin a site ur supposed to follow ur groups) you dont always hav to hav ur sight and rest lined up it can vary w/ each shooter it depends on each shooters anchor point

Something seriously sound's wrong here Bigbuck ,I think you may have more of a problem than your sight ,now for 1 you should be able to adjust your pin's as well as the aperature seperately.I'm hoping you have your sight mounted directly to the bow and not to another piece of equipment that is mounted to your bow . I would like to see a pic of your setup just maybe it's something really simple ,but it sound's as though you defiately have something really wrong .

RE: need help with my sights
RKP is correct....when sighting in your bow sights, you always follow the arrow. If your arrows are flying to the left (hitting left of where you are aiming), you need to move your pins (windage adjustment) to the left as well. The same goes for elevation adjustment. If you are shooting to high (arrows are hitting higher than your aim) you need to mover your pin/pins up and "follow the arrow".In your situation (where the sight pins look left of "inline" with your string and rest, you may want to paper tune your bow to see if the arrows are coming off straight. I have actually set up a bow where the string, rest and sight pins do not line up, but it was shooting straight arrows and hitting the mark.I would suggest trying to move your sight pins left until you are hitting where you are aiming (at least left or right) and then try to paper tune your bow. Remember "FOLLOW THE ARROW". HOpe this helps and doesn't confuse!!!!
