I use a raovac led. Never busted after 2 seasons. Cheap enough to have one for a back up. My brother buys the best (don't know what it was) He's on his second.

I've had a couple of different headlamps. My favorite is Cabelas (I think it's calledthe Expedition). It has a spot beam and also the LED. Works great.

Love the little guy, and i dont care if i break itjust pick up another one cheap. But ive had mine for 2 yrs and still works great.

Never use a light. Have a mag-light with me at all times. I just get used to the dark and seem to know my way around! For tracking a blood trail after dark I bust out the old coleman lantern and have at it!

Once you use one of those headlamps youmight think differently, Andy. I might feel a little paniced for a second or two if I found I've forgotten mine. I really didn't know what I was missing.;)

Sorry, but I just usually let my eyes get accustomed to the dark and then use no light at all. Everything in the pack is organized and I find I don't need a light. I might get those lights that clip onto a ball cap for fishing.

Before you decide take a look at Black Diamond, can't remember the model but it has 5 led's and 4 settings. Is lasts all season on 3 AAA's and gives all the light you need to find your treestand or put out decoys
