Good starter bow, It will kill deer but after awhile you will want something
quieter,smoother and faster.

Great first bow...if you are going to get serious about archery, you will eventually want to get something a little better.

Not much to add to whats already been posted. The Nova has killed countless deer over the years and continues to do so. I too think it's a very good first bow. However, i know several guys that bought one with that intention but are still shooting the nova and still killing deer every year with it and see no reason to spend money on a new bow.

If you can spend a little more money check out the PSE Bruin. I bought one this year and for less than $400 you get a hell of a deal.

I swapped out the sight with my Trophy Ridge and the stabilizer with my S-Coil and it is accurate, fast, and quiet!

Just my suggestion, you may not have to upgrade as soon with this bow.

I just gave up shooting my PSE Nova and bought a brand new Mathews Switchback XT. The Nova served me very well. I now passed it onto my father who is just getting into the sport.
