Slick Tricks!!!!!
I just want to say I wish I would have found these little miracles sooner. I just got two packs today and put one on stepped back to 40 yds. and blew the center out of the bullseye. Thanks for a great confidence builder Old Hoot!

RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
I too was impressed with how well they flew when I bought mine last year. I was even more impresed with their performance on deer;)!
|
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
Others have some very very good broadheads out there but ST's are still be absolute best broadhead I have found to date.
|
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
Yeah! I agree, when I first saw them I thought, you gotta be kidding. I mean they were so small. However they fly so good and they do make a big hole.I shot a big doe last season. She was quartering away.Arrow with a slick trick, entered behind the ribs and came out through her neck, she started bucking and kicking like a broncking bronco. There was blood flying every where,I might of got though her jugular.I saw her die within 40 yrds of where I shot her. Like I said in a previos post, I had probably 4 Muzzys. I just threw em away. Best broadheads I ever seen!

RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
I was very reluctant at first as well, but I took 2 deer and a bear this year with them and they are some destructive little SOBs!

RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
Slick Tricks are the BOMB.... They will make some big nasty holes on deers. If you use them on any animals, they are dead.
|
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
i will try them on turkeys this spring and let yall know
|
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
i have to agree
|
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
Just ordered some myself. I am going on a boar hunt soon and that is going to be the first animal they meet up, so I will sure to report on the performance, although I have a hunch as to what it is going to be!

RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
They are a very good head. Most accurate that I have ever shot.
|
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
I bought some ST's because of this forum and all the good reviews they had. I shot three field tips first to make sure I was on then the first Slick Trick I shot was dead nuts!!!!! That is the only broadhead that has done that for me.....I usually have to adjust some! Can't wait to hunt with them! Great product!!! Does anyone know if they will ever be at the "big box" stores (cabelas, gander, etc..)?

RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
We were practicing with our hunting setups one day at 40 yardsand my buddy had just got his Slick Tricks!
I said "Hey,let me try one of those little devils" he gave me one and I screwed one on....... spun it to make sure it was true and proceded to shave the vanes off one ofmy arrows that was already in the bulleseye! Iv never shot a fixed blade with such great accuracy and didnt have to really fine tune the bow to get them to shoot well..... Yeah, they are the "Real Deal"! By the way last year my buddy took 150 & 140 class whitetails here in Nebraska with Slick Tricks! You can see them and a few other nice bucks at www.stealtharchery.com |
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
I see that there is still some doubt in people's minds. I am a firm believer in the saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it, I was a hard core muzzy guy until a buddy sent me set of these. These made the biggest hole in a deer I'd ever seen, i used mech, and cut on impacts, they don't look like much, but they are deadly accurate and the damage they do, you have to see it to believe it. Can't say enough about these little beauties. Slick tricks will be on my arrow for a long while. Test them yourself, soon the word will spread, HANDS DOWN THESE ARE THE BEST OUT THERE, I know I spent all kinds of money on others.

RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
OK, you guys have convinced me: I'll be buying some of these for some of this year's hunts! (I've also got some Rocky Mountain Turbos I'm gonna be trying out that a buddy sent me.)

RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
I am using Muzzy 4-blade 90 grain tips.
Can anyone tell me why theyfeel that the Slick Tricks are a better blade? IfI were to change from the Muzzy 90's which grain would you recommend? |
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
Well I've attached a picture of real world evidence on a Slick Trick. The following picture is of a Slick Trick pass thru on a doe. The very reason I took this picture is my brother laughed at the look and size of the head when I showed it to him.
This deer was shot by my 17 year old son, 25 yds, broadside from a 30 ft treestand. The angle was very steep. I hope the picture is viewable as I had to resize it. ![]() |
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
To add more info for the Slick Tricks for Silver Fox:
1) The way the blades lock together is as solid as it gets. 2) The blades are thick and as tough as nails. 3) They truly fly like field points even from speed bows. My son's is 299 fps. There are alot of good heads out there and Muzzy is one of them. I shot Thunderheads before this and swore by them. But these are just my favorite based on the reasons above. |
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
Its the only broadhead I could ever get to group....:D
|
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
That is one problem I have with my Muzzy's is holding a group. They seem so sensitive. I can keep them in the kill area but not ina very good group. I like arrows to go where I'm shooting them, that way if i should miss it is my fault and not the equipment. I'm not sure whether to blame the Muzzy's or whether I just don't have the bow tuned properly or whether maybe different fleching or the changing of Broadheadsmay help.
When looking at the pictures of the Slick Tricks they look verysimilar to the Muzzy. Do you really think they are superior to them?????????? I am shooting a Mathews Ultra-Max, Beman ICS Hunter 400 28.5"arrows, Muzzy 4-blade 90 grain tips@ 65#. If you think I should change which tip do you suggest the 85 or the 100. |
RE: Slick Tricks!!!!!
I would use the 100gr. The only issue i had with the tricks was because the heads are steel and after you shoot thru you deer and hit a rock unlike conventional heads they don't break apart to save your arrow, These heads have no give you arrow is shot. Small price to pay to have a blood trail like somebody poured it out of a 1 gallon water picture. Like the rest of you guys I was weiry of these. Hell I switched from muzzy's, nobody switches from muzzy's. Try them folks, small head big hole. short tracks.
