cuddeback

anyone else notice in there comercial where they test 5-6 cameras against the cuddeback, that all the rest are set up even. and the cuddeback is lower on the camera tree. go figure the cuddeback is the only 1 to record a picture. if you watch closely as the deer goes in front. some of the cameras never get blocked by the deer as it travels. lets have cuddeback to a real and accurate test. line all the cameras up level and see what happens. anyone else notice this????

I have a Cudeback and must say that it is a really good trail camera. Is it worth $400.00? Depends on what you want from your camera. There are others cameras out there that workverygood for a little less. From what I've seen however, Cuddeback has the best range and quality of pictures ofall the cameras near its price range. I have a friend who has the new Bushnell and it works pretty good and cost a little less. That would be my choice if I didn't have the Cuddeback.

I also use a Cuddeback and find the trigger time on it quite good--much better than others I've used.
BUT--the Bushnell TrailScout Pro 2.1 MP--is both a trail camera and a FISH TANK. Twice I had to take mine back to the dealer for an exchange as it kept getting water in every time it rained. I was recently toldBushnell will be coming out with an improved model within the next 4-6 weeks in a 5.0 MP version and will be offering a straight swap--no questions asked. I really hope thisnew one doesn't leak also.

Out of the 12 digital scouting cams I have tested the Cuddeback is the fastest. As far as $400 scouting cameras there are some available that are just over $400 ($419.99) that are a much better camera even though the trigger time is a bit slower.

I liked my cuddeback until it fell apart. The battery compartment broke after one year. Ill be happy with it if they fix it for free and it doesn't break again.

BFR, give the folks at Cuddeback a shout, I'm almost certain they'll cover the repairs. You'll never know until you try, it's worth the effort anyway.

RE: cuddeback

I have had good luck with the Penns woods www.pennswoods.com and the trail ghost P41LE www.trailghost.com The trail ghost was the cheaper of the two and they both use a 4.1 megapixel Sony. I like the fact you can remove the camera from the unit to take other pictures and you can view them in the field. I returned my Cuddeback to Gander Mountian because it was a pain to use and the Trail Ghost is just as fast.
