Bowtech and Diamond Strings
Im getting ready to buy a new Bowtech or maybe a Diamond Bow. What I was wondering is how good are the factory strings??? Am I going to have to go out and get a Winners Choice string put on after 100 practice shots??? Do the bowtech get a better string than than the Diamonds?? Anybody know??

RE: Bowtech and Diamond Strings
The bowtechs come with some of the best factory strings there are. I can't speak for the diamonds though.

RE: Bowtech and Diamond Strings
Bowtech and Diamond have the best OEM strings I have seen.
My 05 Victory Dual Cam's string still looks as good as it did when I took the bow out of the box it settled in after about 50 shots, I dont have any problem with peep rotation, No string fuzz but I do keep my strings waxed. Go buy another dozen arrows with the money instead of a WC string;) |

RE: Bowtech and Diamond Strings
Just bought a new Bowtech, so I have no experience with string quality yet, but I believe the previous posters.:) The only thing I may do is have my pro shop put on a new serving.....I prefer a little thicker serving since I don't shoot a loop.

RE: Bowtech and Diamond Strings
I bought an 04 Patriot single cam with TS-1 material and that is the only complaint I have on my bow.
the summer of 04 i shot it in the extreme heat 95 degrees+ and the string streatched a bunch. I was at my dealer once a week twisting srings and cables. It finally quit streacthing but I still can't get the peep to rotate exactly how I like it, so this year I am either getting my bow crackerized or getting a set of vapor trail string and cables for it. I was told when I bought the bow that bow tech was contracting out the strings and cables ( maybe jared or pat can confirm that) in 04. I did talk with one of the Diamoond Reps last year and was ensured that BT and Diamond were making the new strings inhouse now. But as long as you keep an eye on your timing marks you will be good to go. |
RE: Bowtech and Diamond Strings
BowTech puts some extremely high quality strings on at the factory; they're made in-house, and -- if I'm not mistaken -- use Vapor Trails to pick up the slack some when they're running behind. I think you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference of which ones were in-house and which ones had the VT strings on them...
