muzzy BH's
I know this is going to stir the pot alittle, but i want to know if the muzzy 125 3 blade is any good. I've been hunting with the 2 blade zwickey heads and don't feel comfortable shooting them past 12 yards. MY old man hunted with them for years and killed many deer, but most were from a tree and at a distance of less than 10 yards. I like hunting from the ground more and with that comes shots 15-20 yards mainly. i bought a pack of 6 and was relativley pleased with the sharpness and accuracy. at 20 yards they were only off maybe an inch, but i shoot instincive, so who really knows. they flew nice compared to the zwickey. i hear people complaining that you won't get good penetration from them. the bow i shoot now is set at 60# and an arrow weighing about 700 grains. if that don't penetrate i don't know what will. but anyhow what about the normal arrow weight about 400 maybe less. will this head still pass through considering a good boiler room hit. any complaints about the muzzy head. I'm not very good at sharpening, so thats why i tried these.

RE: muzzy BH's
The only problem with muzzys are the blades are a little weak. All shots with muzzys in the last two years were complete passthroughs.I don't know it the blades bent from the passthrough or from pounding the dirt on the other side. I shoot the 100 grain 3 blades, and dont have any problems with them hitting with my fieldpoints. This is with a perfectly tuned bow. Shooting a total arrow weight of just over 400 grains, fletched with Bohning Blazers. I do want to try the new Muzzy MX-4 this year.

Muzzy 3 blade 100's have blown through evry animal I've asked them to, to include Whitetail, Mule deer, Elk, & Moose. I don't think you can go wrong with Muzzy.

I shoot the 125gr three blade and have no complaints. They impact the same as my field points and perform well on game. Have taken several deer and antelope and no problems. Great broadhead.

You can't go wrong with Muzzey, especially with their favorable pricetag. I shoot the 4 blade but I wouldn't thing you would have an issue with the 3 blade.
I left Muzzey for about 2 years and came back this year after dealing with bent blades, tips, among other things on much more expensive broadheads. |

I had some thunderheads that I was using till I bought my razorcaps. They penetrate well and are durable to use again
