I will be buying the Wildcat with the string this spring. I presently use the Little Bitty Goose with the string and its adjustability is great but I want to try and pick up an inch of draw length so the new release will be part of that process. I will be trying without a d loop also in the off season.

I have been shooting with my Wildcat for over a month. I got the camo version and I'm very happy with it.The single action took some time to get used to, but now I like it and with the adjustable trigger you can make a bad shot a good shot. Meaning even if you find yourself jerking the trigger more than you would prefer, if the trigger is adjusted very lightly, your shot will still be a good one. I have mine adjusted just so the trigger wants to open on its own. Makes you nervous at first, but when there is a load on the release it doesn't move at all. Ihave therod style and love it...the nylon strap is to flimsy in my opinion and you have to reach around to get it into position. The rod doesn't bind up due to the head pivoting very easily in 360 degrees. I vote for the rod style, but it really is personal choice and what feels right in your hand. The best thing about the Wildcat is it is so small and light and has 4 adjustment holes for length. I hunt on the ground and walk for miles so having a light weight release makes a big difference. Make sure you adjust the Wildcat so you are not reaching for the trigger. At first I was trying to get 1 inch more out of it but found myself reaching for the trigger. I'm actually a 30.5 draw, but with this release I was able to have a 31 inch draw plus a1/2 inch loopandthe stringis right at the tip of my nose and my right hand is ancord to my jaw right where I want it.

[&:]hey dotmaster how do you explain the wildcat release? you said you have the trigger set-up to open on its own! how can that be with-out it fireing? also when you put it under a load it dose'nt move? what does that mean? just curious about any reales that might help me with not punching the reaease. thanks silentsam
