I shot them both and went with the Vtec. It's all about what fits you best. I like the cam and a half better than any single cam system and Hoyt has the best limbs in the business.
Excellent point. I agree. I like the Cam.5 system better than the Mathews Single cam because of the adjustability and the overall feel of the draw cycle.

ORIGINAL: 5 shot

Hoyt has the best limbs in the business.
I don't agreewithyou 5 shot.

I just bought a new Switchback after shooting my old Mathew's Ultra-Light for the last 9 seasons here in NY. I never had a single problem with my limbs the entire time, or ever heard of anyone having problems with their Mathew's limbs? Mathew's offers a lifetime Guarantee on their bows. Hoyt makes a nice bow as well, and I don't want this to end up another Mathew/Hoyt debate, but to make a blank statement like that is absurd.

I would try shooting some of the Bowtechs. Very nice bows like Hoyt and Mathews.

I tried both the switchback and the v-tec this year before going with the v-tec. I have always been a hoyt guy and I decided to keep it that way. I did like the switchback but I opted to take the v-tec and I am sure glad that I did. I have killed two deer this year with clean pass throughs. The second deer was hit so hard that she fell down after the impact before she got back up to run. I believe I made the right choice. Take the advice that some of the other guys have given and shoot them all before you choose.

I had a Switchback t start the year but once I shot it side by side with the VTEC..... I had to go with the HOYT. The VTEC truly is THE best machine I have ever owned! As mentioned, you will find NO better performing bow and one that is as maintainance free as the VTEC. It's an awesome machine, you'll love it!
