Easton Axis arrows....
 

So who all is using Easton Axis arrows? Ive had mine for bout 2 months now and have had really good results from them in my league. Can't wait till Oct 1st to put them in a deer!!! Ive heard some negative things about them (mostly price).

I just bought a dozen of the 340s and had them fletched with blazers. I agree about them being a bit steep, however I am very pleased with performance. I too hope to stick one in a deer next weekend!

Well 4 out of my dozen Axis 340's had to be tossed [:@]You would think at that price they would all be "true"

Over priced and I think they need to be made better. For my money I would go with Gold Tip Pro Hunters .001+- Straightness and the same for weight. They are known to be the best arrows for the money, not to mention strength.

Are they slim like the axis's? and you say theycarry the same amount of weight? hmm i wish i would have known about those before i bought these. Everyone was telling me they were the way to go, and sure the 8 out of my dozen are awesome, but i would hope for that kind of money i could get at least 11 good ones lol

Patriot Dually: Not super slim like the Axis, but the have much tighter tolerances for a high priced arrow, the tightest I have seen thus far. They are a tad lighter, the 75/95 are 8.9gpi, but I can sacrifice a little bit of weight for a better arrow. There are other ways for me to add a little bit of weight here or there, NAP Quickspin Vanes will, cresting arrows will too.

**Note** A Gold Tip Pro Hunter shaft in the 75/95 Spine, at 30" will weigh 267gr, with all the added extras (vanes, nock/insert, and b-head) it will weight a grand total of419grs, 17grs lighter than the Axis in the same length. You will probably gain about 5 fps, putting you at 81 lbs of KE.

I've been shooting the axis for almost 2 years and like them a lot. I've had zero problems with them as far as performance. I have been shooting 2" groups at 40 yards since I've had them. They produce excellent penetration. Also they really aren't that expensive if you look. You can get them for 70/dz from several places. Look on archerytalk.com and there are several deals.

You's can say what you's like about the Axis's ,but I've had mine all season and I have to say that I'm glad I bought them ,I agree that the price is steep and yes as all arrow company's go through the spline's have varied a bit .But I still like them regardless .

I think they are a good shaft as are most of the Easton products. But, after extensive shooting I did not find them any more durable then the rest of their ICS style carbon products.
