HCA Max Force - Any opinions?

I havce an opportunity to get an HCA Max Force pretty cheap. Considering that I am currently shooting an old Martin Prowler with the old steel cables, this may be a step up for me. Does anyone have any opinions of the HCA Max Force, is it decent bow?

Thanks,
Bassn

What year? How much? The older High Country bows were bomb proof. I shot HCA for years and did not have any trouble with them. I had one problem with a bow the day before our season came in andthe factorytold the dealer to set me up a NEW loaner bow while mine was getting fixed. I know for a fact ( my best friend is a HCA dealer) they aren't the company they were 5-6 years ago. If it is a few years old and in good shape it may be a good deal but if it is newer I would be cautious.

I had a Max Force, I'd say around 6yrs ago + or - a couple. It was right when the short bows were hot. Mine had a whopping 5.5" brace height, which made it a very unforgiving and difficult bow to shoot...plus it sounded like a .22 rifle going off. I'd probably advise against it unless it's really really cheap! I ended up trading mine in on dozen arrows, which should give you an idea of what the dealer thought mine was worth...of course leftys always get ripped on tradeins.

If you're comfortable with your current set-up, stick with it.
